The 2010 Mississippi Youth Hip-Hop Festival, sponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Mississippi Prevention of Schoolhouse to Jailhouse Coalition, aims to create a positive youth-led movement, using hip-hop as the background, to help spark discussions about youth concerns in Mississippi. The free festival will be held July 31, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena. For more information, call 601.354.3408.
